ALLEN - On October 6, 1846, at Fulton, Rock County, Wisconsin, the Rev. EDWARD ALLEN, after an illness of six weeks, in the 51st year of his age.  Mr. Allen was formerly a practioner of law in this county; (Oneida, NY) but upon making a profession of religion, he entered upon the arduous and responsible duties of a Minister of the Gospel in the Presbyterian Church.  He was well known, and universally esteemed and beloved as a decided Christian, a bold and untiring preacher, and one of the most benevolent of men; and his death occurring so unexpectedly, will fill many hearts with sorrow.  His declining health and strength seemed to make a change of residence requisite; and during the last summer he removed to the far West, in the confident expectation of sowing the good seed there.  But he was able to collect only a few around him, and deliver his Master's message to them twice or thrice, when that Master called him home to his reward.  (RCNov10/1846)

BOND - At Buffalo, New York, on November 5, 1846, CORNELIA BOND, of Vernon, New York, aged 23 years.  (RCNov10/1846)
