PARKER - At Atchison, Kansas, on December 22, 1871, ISRAEL STODDARD, eldest son of James W. and Amelia Parker, and grandson of Israel S. Parker, formerly of Rome, New York, aged 2 years and six months.  (RCJan05/1872)

THACKER - HARVEY THACKER, the "Methuselah of the West," who was born somewhere about a century and a quarter ago, died recently in California.  He was a son-in-law of Daniel Boone, and served through the revolutionary war.  (RCJan12/1872)

ABEEL - In Rome, New York, January 21, 1872, AMBROSE ABEEL, son of Gilbert and Minerva Abeel, aged 19 years, 10 months and 1 day.  (RCJan26/1872)

EWING - In Holland Patent, New York, January 23, 1872, ELLA O. EWING, one of twin daughters of Frank and Cordelia Ewing.  (RCJan26/1872)

CONKEY - In Utica, New York, on the morning of January 24, 1872, GERTRUDE E., wife of Willard Conkey, and only daughter of A. G. Howard, Esq.  (RCJan26/1872)

ROBERTS - On Friday night (January 19, 1872), ANDREW ROBERTS, a wealthy farmer of Orange county, New York fell out of his wagon about ten miles from Newburgh, and was instantly killed, his neck having been broken.  His team continued on their way to the village of Salisbury Mills, two miles from the scene of the accident, and their arrival there without their owner led to search being made for him, and he was found in the road, dead, as stated.  He was about forty-five years of age, and leaves a wife and four children.  (RCJan26/1872)

QUA - Two children of George Qua, who lives near Battenville, Washington county, NY, were terribly scalded, the youngest fatally, on Tuesday, of last week.  (January 16, 1872)  Mr. Qua was assisting his wife to lift a boiler full of clothes from the stove, and resting it on the edge of the stove to put on the griddle, it tipped over, spilling the contents into the cradle upon the babe, and upon another child who stood by its side.  The youngest died in a few moments, and the other it is feared, cannot survive.  (RCJan26/1872)

BARNES - In Westmoreland, New York, January 27, MARGARET DICKENS, wife of Amos Barns, aged 70 years and 8 months.  (RCFeb02/1872)

BRUCE - JOSEPH BRUCE, one of the pioneers of Madison county, NY, died in Lennox on Saturday  (January 27, 1872) at the age of eighty-three.  He has always been prominently identified with the business interests of that locality.  (RCFeb02/1872)

EAST - ALFRED EAST, a fellow lodger with Professor Panormo, who was murdered in Brooklyn last  week, committed suicide yesterday morning.  He left a letter protesting his innocence of any connection with Panormo's murder.   (RCFeb02/1872)

LYMAN - J. B. LYMAN, Agricultural Editor of the Tribune, died at Richmond Hill, Long Island yesterday.  Mr. Lyman was a graduate of Yale, and has been connected with the Hearth and Home, the World, and other papers.  (RCFeb02/1872)

CHISHOLM - Mr. Colonel GEORGE CHISHOLM, whose death at the age of eighty occurred recently at Hamilton, Ontario, was one of a party of Britishers who burned what there was of Buffalo in the year 1812.  His son is now Mayor of Hamilton.  (RCFeb09/1872)
