RHOSS - A woman named RHOSS, of Albany, NY, died a few days ago, from drinking cold water while lying sick with varioloid.  The pustules were nicely filling up, but after she had drunk the water, they flattened out, and respiration quickly ceased.  (RCAug23/1872)

ALEXANDER - Miss ALEXANDER, residing on Jay St., Albany, NY, committed suicide on Saturday (August 17, 1872), by taking arsenic.  She was engaged to be married to a young man who died suddenly on Thursday night, and grief at her loss caused temporary insanity.  (RCAug23/1872)

CRANDALL - In Westmoreland, New York, August 12, 1872, LEWIS CRANDALL, aged 100 years and 4 months.  (RCAug23/1872)
