BRITT - New London, NY news item of Sept. 3, 1878:  The sudden death of Mrs. ANNIE BRITT of Verona, New York, has cast gloom and sorrow among a large  circle of relatives and acquaintances residing here.  Mr. Britt's bereavement was so overwhelming as to throw him into paroxysms, under whose influence it took three men to keep him within bounds.  (RCSep13/1878)
