Cynthia Budlong taken in Utica, NY circa 1865

Thomas' family came to Cassville, NY from Ct. in 1815 when he was 7 years old.  His parents were Thomas & LucyGallup.  Cynthia was the daughter of Rev. David Budlong and Naomi Randall.  Rev. Budlong was instrumental in setting up the first Baptist church in Cassville.  Thomas and Cynthia were married in 1831 and continued to live in Cassville for many years before moving to St. Joseph, Missouri around 1866.  Their only daughter, Clara Naomi Gallup married David Newton Alexander at St. Joseph in 1878 and were Thomas Alexander's  (our submitter) great-grandparents
