This a Private Family Cemetery located on Pines Rd. in Hawkinsville, Oneida Co., NY. To reach the Cemetery, take Rt. 12 north toward Boonville, NY. Turn right at the stoplight by the Davidson Chevrolet Dealership, onto Woodgate Dr. (This becomes Hawkinsville Rd. further on) Go 2.6 miles (across the Black River Bridge) to Pines Rd. Turn left and go 1.6 miles to the Cemetery on the right side of road. It appears the original owner of the land was John Andrew III Joslin, b: 1795 in Frankfort NY, d: 1882 in Hawkinsville, NY. One source reports him buried in an unmarked grave near BUCK CORNERS which is only a couple of miles from the Cemetery. He was married to Ann Mercy SWEET and I believe he and Ann may also be buried here. The 1 acre for this Cemetery was deeded from John A. Joslin to Esther M. Joslin 1/27/1876, then deeded from Esther M. Joslin to Francis M. Joslin 2/12/1883, then deeded from Francis M. oslin to Clara A. Joslin 9/10/1910. It is still in her name although she is deceased. It has been very well maintained over the years by her son Geoffrey J. Joslin, his son Marcel Keith Joslin and other Joslin family members. This is an ACTIVE CEMETERY and is overseen by M. Keith Joslin It is PRIVATE and restricted to use by the JOSLIN family and their relatives by marriage. The earliest tombstone date is that of  the infant Libbie Klinck who died 10/22/1861. If the suspected burials are correct then the earliest burial was  Anna Walker 1856.
The entrance sign was hand made by Marcel Keith Joslin and his father.

The ***** are recorded by various sources as being buried here but there are no tombstones.
Family folklore says that some of them are here. Fathers, mothers, wives, husbands, or children
of some of them are known to be  here. I have made note of these facts where I know about them.
There are several medium sized rocks that look like they were put there to mark graves.
This is reinforced by where they are and by the fact that the soil is very sandy and when you
dig here you do not find any rocks at all which indicates they were brought here from elsewhere.
There are many depressions that are surely graves, a fact reinforced by their location to others.
